Questions: What defines a B-movie? How do B-Movies affect the industry and popular culture? How have they evolved? Thesis: B movies are made with modest means, maverick sensibilities, and a knack for bending familiar genre's into fresh and unfamiliar places. These films are not only are unique, but have had large impact on the movie industry and have allowed many talented directors to come into prominence.
Purpose:To show the impact and importance of B movies in the movie industry and american culture.
Audience: People interested in Film. Not just B movies.
Scope: I will watch B movies from different eras and find out how they have evolved and what elements make a B movie. Look at their impact by using resources like the "B List", "Ed Wood" and the Roger Corman Documentary. I will also conduct an interview with Brian Salisbury and find out several of his opinions on the questions posted here. Overall, it will be around 8-10 pages.
